German Rigging, Italian Rigging, Or?
Earlier today, rowing historian Bill Lanouette of Washington DC sent me an e-mail with an interesting article from today's Washington Post. Consultant editor at New Scientist, Justin Mullins, is writing about the German rigging and the Italian rigging. You can read Mullins's article "Physicist's efficiency study may not make a big splash in rowing circles" by clicking here. On the same subject, Bill Rafter wrote "A Rowing Story" at Daily Speculations on 17 February 2009. (The illustration above is from Rafter's entertaining article.)
My thanks to Bill Lanouette for pointing me in the direction of Mullins's article in the Washington Post.
