An Update of the Info for the 2013 Yale-Harvard Regatta
After I earlier today exposed my lack of information about the Yale-Harvard Regatta on Sunday, 9 June, more information has surfaced. Rowing historian Tom Weil (Yale ‘70) sent an e-mail with the race times that he had received from the ‘inner circle’ of the boathouse at Gales Ferry. This year the races will go upstream, meaning the finish line is at Bartlett’s Cove, close to ‘The Rock’ on the west side of the Thames River. Here are the race times (added is also the Combo Race):
Saturday, June 8:
5:00 p.m. – Combo Race
Sunday, June 9:
9:00 a.m. – Freshman Race
9:45 a.m. – JV Race
10:45 a.m. – Varsity Race
One person also added important information in a comment in today’s previous blog post which I here reprint:
Yale crews, here.
Harvard crews, here.
A few days before 9 June, take a look at the universities’ websites which oarsmen are in the crews: Harvard website & Yale website.
My thanks to ‘Anonymous’ and Tom Weil.
