2014 Parliamentary Boat Race: Peers Win, MPs Swim
Tim Koch writes from London:
The eighth Parliamentary Boat Race took place today, 12 June. A full report will follow shortly but here are some pictures taken just after the finish when the Commons boat overturned and the crew ended up in the water. Fortunately they all remained calm, it was a warm day, several rescue boats were very close by and everyone was safe within a few minutes. Within twenty minutes the Members of Parliament were taking part in a House of Commons vote.
