50 Years Ago....
Today, it’s raining again here in New England. So far, it’s been a lousy spring. Tomorrow it’s May, but right now it feels more like October. Trying to cheer myself up, I was looking for some summer footage among British Pathe’s many rowing films on YouTube. There I found this lovely 50-year-old film from Henley Royal Regatta, with members of the Royal family visiting, the American ‘Sy’ Cromwell taking the Diamonds, the 1914 Harvard eight doing a celebratory outing in front of the spectators, and the Soviets taking the Grand – oh, I cannot wait for better weather…
